Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Forms Expert (“the service”) at forms.expert, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization.
The Service
Forms Expert is a form delivery engine: one form definition ships as a hosted page (/h/{slug}), an embeddable widget (/e/{slug}), and a REST API. We may add, change, or remove features over time, and we’ll give reasonable notice of material changes that affect you.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Keep your secret API keys (sk_) confidential; publishable keys (pk_) are safe to expose client-side. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Forms Expert to:
- Collect data unlawfully or without a valid legal basis under applicable law.
- Distribute malware, phishing forms, or content that infringes others’ rights.
- Circumvent rate limits, anti-abuse controls, or stated plan limits.
- Resell the service as your own without a written agreement.
We protect forms with honeypot checks, rate limiting, and CAPTCHA. We do not run antivirus scanning on uploads; you are responsible for the content you collect.
Plans & Billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a flat monthly or yearly basis through our payment processor. Plans carry stated per-tier limits — there is no per-response overage billing. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time (changes are prorated), and you can cancel at any time, with access continuing until the end of the current billing period. All paid plans include a 14-day trial.
Your Content
You retain ownership of the forms you build and the submissions you collect. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, and deliver that content on your behalf. We act as a processor for submissions; you are the controller. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, with notice where practical. On termination, we delete associated personal data subject to lawful retention requirements.
Disclaimers & Liability
The service is provided “as is.” We make every effort to keep it secure and available, but we do not warrant uninterrupted operation, and we do not claim certifications we do not hold (we reference GDPR only). To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior twelve months.
